The Challenge
Each member college of the Bay Area Community College Consortium (BACCC) needed networking and cybersecurity lab equipment, and none of them could afford a full lab on their own. With six colleges in the same situation, the consortium looked for a way to pool budgets without each campus duplicating hardware.
The Solution
BACCC deployed a single NETLAB+ system at a central location and gave all six colleges remote access through the browser. Learners and educators connect from any campus (or from home). One operations team manages the equipment for the whole consortium.

The Results
An estimated $3.6M in equipment costs avoided, with 320 simultaneous lab connections supported across the six colleges. A $1M grant funded the initial deployment. The consortium model demonstrated that shared infrastructure lets smaller colleges access enterprise-grade lab environments together.
